This 18th Century Georgian antique settle has been finished in original scumble varnish, but we believe to be in part elm underneath. It is constructed with a 5 panel back, which is flared at the back base for stability. It is constructed with a 5 panel back, still in its original form, with upturned elbow holds.

A truly wonderful watercolour titled ‘Pentire head, Cornwall’ signed by artist Baragwanath King. John Baragwanath-King 1864 to 1939 A landscape painter mainly in watercolour. A Bretby art pottery large art nouveau stick stand decorated with red, yellow and green glazes, with the usual slight chippings seen in the photos. Wonderful colours, a truly lovely item in the art nouveau style with lion motifs. Dating from the Art Nouveau period, the condition of this antique stick stand is very good with the chippings at the bottom and one slight chip on the top.
