It is constructed with a 5 panel back, which is flared at the back base for stability. It is constructed with a 5 panel back, still in its original form, with upturned elbow holds.

After leaving the Navy he settled in London working as a commercial artist. He has exhibited at the Royal Academy and has become a regular contributor at the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, The Pastel Society and The National Society. This is a truly pleasing piece of artwork with the use of exceptionally bright colours.
