An unusual Oak coffer featuring chequered inlaid lines surrounding three panels. The ends comprise of two panels, the lid made up of three planks. In original colour, (many coffers being re-polished!) the inlay dates this item to around 1690's. The condition is super, commensurate with is age, some inlay missing. The hinges, although early are most probably replacements. Lock missing. Structurally sound with a good base and legs.

A Bretby art pottery large art nouveau stick stand decorated with red, yellow and green glazes, with the usual slight chippings seen in the photos. Wonderful colours, a truly lovely item in the art nouveau style with lion motifs. Dating from the Art Nouveau period, the condition of this antique stick stand is very good with the chippings at the bottom and one slight chip on the top.

This is a stunning boulle desk writing slope 1810-1825. Andre Boulle 1642-1732, perfected the art of inlay with brass, tortoiseshell on ebony. This slope features ebonised body, rosewood interior and a bronze edging. The top lid lifts up to reveal a letter rack, the main flap reveals the writing slope. 19th Century Black Forest Carved Bear Coat Stand. This late nineteenth century coat stand originating from the Black Forest. Carved in the manner of a tree with two bears, the mother at the base and her cub climbing upwards. The outset branches form arms for hats and coats to be hung. Very finely carved with lovely details including the glass eyes and teeth. A lovely creation bearing all of the quality of traditional Black Forest. Both bears have lovely glass eyes.

In Two sections, the silver marks are Lion passant, Panthers head for London and date letter Q. We believe to be 1871 (however debated 1931). The makers mark worn.
